Royals Fan Fest

I had a blast at the Royals Fan Fest yesterday afternoon! I am a big baseball fan, so I was really excited to get to meet my favorite catcher, Salvador Perez! I am looking forward to watching the Royals play this spring. :)

Harvester's "SOUPer Bowl" Weekend of Caring

I loved volunteering at the "SOUPer Bowl" Weekend of Caring at Harvester's Food Network with my family! We got to sort boxes of apples to be shipped to schools all across the Kansas City area to be used in the Backpack Program. This program packs backpacks full of food and sends them home with kids in need over the weekend. I am so glad that I can volunteer my time and help be a part of this amazing charity. Freezin' for a Reason!

I had so much fun this morning at the Polar Bear Plunge benefiting the Special Olympics at Longview Lake! It was so great to see so many schools and groups come out to support such an amazing cause. The Special Olympics is such a great organization, and I look forward to volunteering at the Missouri Summer Games this May.

 There was even a contest for the group with the best themed costume! I must say... the minions were my favorite hands down. ;)

Welcoming our final two Vanbros sisters!

I had so much fun at the Miss Arkansas USA and Miss Arkansas Teen USA pageant this past weekend! It was a blast to watch with the other visiting titleholders and welcome our final two Vanbros sisters for 2014. Congratulations to the new Miss Arkansas USA, Helen Wisner, and the new Miss Arkansas Teen USA, Lauren Weaver. I am so excited to spend this year with all of these girls. :)

Kicking off the New Year

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I loved having some time off to spend relaxing and having fun with my family and friends. But, I am more than ready to take on 2014 and I am so excited to see what it has in store! :)

Last week, I made a trip up to see the official Miss Missouri USA and Miss Missouri Teen USA dental sponsor, Dr. Ross Headley. It was so nice to finally meet him and his staff. This weekend, my mom and I traveled to Omaha, Nebraska, to watch the Miss Nebraska USA and Miss Nebraska Teen USA pageant. At both Kansas and Oklahoma there were snow storms the weekends of the pageants, but this weekend there was no snow, just bitter cold temperatures! I think the coldest I saw was -11, but I heard rumors  of -20 and below! Brrrr! Despite the cold, I had a blast getting to watch both the preliminary competition and the final competition with the other visiting titleholders. Congratulations to the new Miss Nebraska USA and the new Miss Nebraska Teen USA! :)



Well, Christmas break officially ends tomorrow, and I will be going back to high school for my last semester! I can hardly believe it! Next weekend I will be going to watch the Miss Arkansas USA and Miss Arkansas Teen USA pageants in Bentonville. I am also finishing up my presentation for my new project, the Confidence Counts Movement, to speak to groups of kids about healthy relationships, self respect, and self esteem. I can't wait!
